What does it mean to participate in Mass? – say the responses, sing the music, pay attention to what’s going on? When we come to the Mass, we are called to participate fully, consciously, and actively. Why? Because it’s the best way we know to encounter God.

This really struck a chord with something I have been thinking about for quite a while. I feel with the number of people that subscribe to the Magnificat and to increase participation and understanding of the Mass it is long over due that we have the weekly readings included in our in pew missals. It provides visual reinforcement and allows people of all ages to follow along more closely the important readings.
